Pot Magnets are neodymium magnets covered by a steel pot. The steel pot concentrates the magnet force in one direction, which means that pot magnets typically have a higher strength than magnets without a metal pot. Pot magnets have to to be in direct contact with a surface, as even a small distance greatly reduces the adhesive force. But when the pot magnet has full contact to the surface you will be surprised how difficult it is to remove again!
